The 13th Symposium of SEDI, Study of
the Earth's Deep Interior, will be held on
the campus of the University of Leeds, United Kingdom from
July 1 to 6, 2012.
Leeds is a
major metropolitan area located in Northern England. The
metropolitan district has 770 000 inhabitants and is the
largest center for business, legal and financial services
outside of London. Leeds is about 3.5 hours by train north of
London and can be reached from several international airports
(e.g. Manchester and Leeds/Bradford) conveniently by public

Leeds is
close to the Yorkshire Dales, North Yorkshire Moors and Peak
District National Parks.
Plenary
lectures for SEDI2012 will be held in the Rupert Beckett
Lecture Theatre. Poster sessions will take place in Parkinson
Court - a landmark
building on campus. Both locations are just a short walk from
the Storm Jameson
Court where affordable accommodation is available.
The
registration fee will include lunches which will be served in
the Leeds Refectory and access to The
Edge, the University of Leeds Sports complex. For
accommodation on campus the Refectory will also serve
breakfast. The Refectory is only a few minutes walk across
campus from the Lecture and Poster session areas.
The Leeds
campus is a ~10 minute walk from the city center which
provides a wide variety of restaurants and pubs for dinner.
