This view, from the western slopes of An Lean Charn, shows the oblique cross-section view of the imbricate system on Conamheall. The scale of imbrication evident in this view was recognised by the Geological Survey in the 1880s. The finer scale imbrication of beds and bed groups in the Pipe Rock was described by Butler (1982). These imbricates all fold higher sheets.
